the Government of Solo.
This 4th annual Festival is special, occurring on the 100-yr. anniversary of the
Indonesian nation.
At Traditional Markets there were art performances, purification and offering
ceremonies, and
seminars on the future for Traditional Markets with speakers such as: Professor Dr.
Sri Edi Swasono, Economist; Bondan Winarno, BPPI-Indonesian Heritage Society; Ir.
Widya Wijayanti, BPPI-Indonesian Heritage Society; Professor Dr. Waridi, S.Kar
M.Hum, Indonesian Arts Institute-Surakarta; and Goenawan Mohamad, Founder Tempo
Magazine.
The aim of Festival Pasar Kumandang is

GOA GAJAH TEMPLE LOTUS POND in BEDULU, BALI
ART & PRAYER OFFERINGS for WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
Historically the area surrounding the Goa Gajah Temple elephant cave, was a
meditation hermitage connected with a seminal 11th Century deliberation of
conciliation at Samuantiga Temple where Bali Aga, Çiwaist, and Buddhist societies
met in friendship and were able to create offerings together for peace and
prosperity. The firmly seated elephant-headed Ganesa, is a patron deity of
commercial and literary enterprises, removing obstacles especially in literary and
educational matters. Dharma Nature Time invites people to gather at the Goa Gajah
Lotus Pond from 7 to 8 o’clock in the morning to make art & prayer offerings for

SHAKTALA-MEXICO OFFERING at a RIVER & GARDEN in FRANCE
It is good to hear there are still the intention and many people to manifest the
need for harmony, recollection and expression. Gary and I will be taking a boat trip
in Paris on the 5th June and will be aware of the connection with friends and
colleagues and people akin to the motivation. Will find a park or garden after the
