Temu Mata is an open lecture session, where professional visual or performing artists, traditional or contemporary artists, individual or groups of artists from Indonesia or from other countries are invited to give a presentation about their creative process at Padepokan Lemah PUtih Solo. A session of “Question & Answer” is included to broaden the understanding of the artistic process and art history.

Artist: Arie Dyanto (Mural Artist, Street Art Expert), Yogyakarta
Temu Mata has invited Arie Dyanto to share his professional journey as mural painter, street art practitioner. Arie Dyanto studied at the Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta’s Fine Arts Department. He is one of the founder member of the Apotik Komik and has been participating in various exhibitions and project with national and international scale, among them In Dollar We Trust at the Southern Exposure Gallery, San Francisco, USA; Global Passport di Haveford College, Philadelphia USA (2003), Una Grande Production, at Kultur Modell, Passau, Germany (2004), Egos and Icons, at Toimoi Shop and Gallery Jakarta (2006), Stray Fatigues, at Kedai Kebun Yogyakarta (2003)

Artist : Iman Soleh (theatre director, actor, lecturer at STSI Bandung)
Iman Soleh was born in 1966 in Bandung, lives and works in Bandung. He is the director of Center of Cultural Ledeng (CCL) a thetre community which relates their projects with the sociopolitical situations, especially in village community. He has directed numbers of plays and presented them in many places in Indonesia and abroad. Iman Soleh has published two books, ”Kucing Hitam” (1999) and ”Teater Kontemporer Empat Kota di Jawa – penelusuran awal terhadap visi, konsep dan ekspresi pertunjukannya” (2000). Iman Soleh belives that if a house becomes cultural machine and therefore the people who lives in become real human.
